Bin Ghaith faces health decline as he continues hunger strike

Emirati academic and economist Dr. Nasser bin Ghaith faces a serious health deterioration, as he has been continuing his hunger strike since February 25 in al-Razeen prison.

He has started suffering from fatigue, hypoglycaemia and high blood pressure, rights sources revealed.

On 25 February 2018, Bin Ghaith launched hunger strike for a second time against his ill-treatment at Al-Razeen prison. Since then, he has been held in solitary confinement and denied family visits.

The last family visit he received was on the 7th March 2018.
