Dozens of Turkish people protest outside UAE Embassy

Dozens of Turkish activists staged on Friday a protest vigil outside UAE Embassy in Ankara demanding the immediate release of NGO worker Mehmet Ali Ozturk.

Ozturk, who travelled to the UAE in February 17 along with 75 Turkish businessmen to participate in the annual food trade show held in Dubai, was arrested on February 20 from the hotel for unknown reasons.

Online activists launched the hashtag #MehmetAliÖztürkeözgürlük to raise awareness about his case.
