Dr Nasser Bin Ghaith trial adjourned to the 26th of September

The state security chamber of the federal Supreme Court has decided to postpone the hearing of Dr Nasser Bin Ghaith for the fourth time to the 26th of September following the trial that took place on Monday June 21.

We have been informed that Dr Bin Ghaith was transferred to Al-Sader prison in Abu Dhabi, a public jail mainly used for expats who are set for deportation; it is known to be the dirtiest jail among all the others.

Indeed, Emirati authorities have prevented Dr Nasser Bin Ghaith from meeting and calling his family and lawyer whom he was only able to see once in the court and after the hearing of May 23, he was allowed to see them but remained barred from making phone calls.

Despite Dr Bin Ghaith’s complaint to the The State Security Chamber of the Federal Supreme Court about the miserable living conditions in prison and his deprivation from contacting his lawyer and family, the judge failed to order immediate investigations into Dr Nasser Bin Ghaith’s allegations of torture and paid no heed to his grievance.
