Fancy technology used to keep track of every single UAE citizen.

Authorities in Abu Dhabi announced the launch of an emirate-wide surveillance system, However it hided the fact that the system was installed by an Israeli-owned security company.

Several investigation published by the  Middle East Eye and other Media confirmed this information.

The UAE and Israel claim to have no relationship at least on a diplomatic and official scale. However certain links seem to be binding between the two countries as the ties are increasinly growing in recent years.

MEE also revealed that the surveillance system will be using a state-of-the-art technology known as the "Internet of Things" (IoT)

the system will link thousands of cameras spread across the city, as well as thousands of other cameras installed at facilities and buildings in the emirate

The Internet of Things is generally used to connect things, machines , objects and people using the internet. in This case it is used to gather huge amount of data through geolocation, devices , cameras , sensors and the surveillance equipment used as to depict every single individual’s movements and activities

“Every person is monitored from the moment they leave their doorstep to the moment they return to it. Their work, social and behavioural patterns are recorded, analysed and archived,” a source close to the project told MEE
