Leaked phone call reveals Alia Abdel Nour’s difficult health situation

A leaked phone call between Alia Abdel Nour, who has been held in UAE jails since 2015, and her family has revealed her poor health situation due to the prison authorities’ medical negligence policy.

During the phone call, Alia complained of the inhumane conditions of detention which has contributed significantly to the deterioration of her health.

Alia, who suffers from cancer, is held in a small room without any contact to the outside world, her family added, saying that the UAE authorities are still refusing her medical release without providing any reasons.

Alia’s health is in constant deterioration after the cancer spread to all parts of her body, her family warned. They have called for her immediate release before it is too late.
