Photo exhibition sheds light on torture victims in UAE

A photography exhibition has been organized on the sidelines of 36th Session of the UN Human Rights Council at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva to shed light on victims of torture in UAE prisons and investigation centres.

The exhibition tells the stories of dozens of human rights defenders and critics to the government who were subjected to various kinds of torture at the hands of UAE security forces and exposed some of the torture tools and methods used by the Emirati jailers during long-term investigations.

Documentary films about UAE’s hidden reality are also scheduled to be exposed during the opening days.
