Sydney man sends emotional plea from Dubai jail

A Sydney man who has spent more than a year behind bars in the Middle East has made an emotional plea from jail for more help from the Australian Government.

Naim Abbas was arrested in Dubai in October last year, accused of spying for the Government in Qatar.

The Department of Foreign Affairs says it is providing consular support, but warns it can't intervene in another country's legal system.
