UAE pardons 704 prisoners ahead of Eid Al Adha, political prisoners are not included

The UAE President Sheikh Khalifa pardoned charges and ordered the release of 704 inmates on Monday, in celebration of Eid Al Adha.

Every year ahead of religious holidays, the President and Rulers of the emirates pardon prisoners and order their debts to be settled.

However, political  prisoners and online activists were not among the pardoned prisoners.

Eid Al Adha is a time for Muslims to spend with their families and beloved ones. However, dozens of prisoners of conscience in the UAE are denied the joys of celebrating Eid.
