Video: Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed orders torture of female prisoner

A voice recording from the detainee Maryam Sulaiman Al-Balushi, arrested in 2015 and detained since then at Al-Wathba prison in poor conditions, affirms she has been constantly exposed to torture and ill-treatment.

In a revealing exchange with one warder, al-Balushi claims that a female security officer laughed off a suggestion of filing a torture complaint with Mohammed Bin Zayed – responding that it was the Crown Prince himself who had ordered her beatings.
