Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed meets German chancellor

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, met German chancellor Angela Merkel on May 10.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and Ms Merkel discussed ways of enhancing bilateral ties as well as regional and international issues, with a focus on the Syrian crisis and the course of peace talks in Yemen.

Efforts by both countries to fight extremism and terrorist organisations, as well as the latest developments in Iraq and Libya, also featured prominently during the talks.
