Activists protest against UAE’s policies in the Middle East

Two rights orgainisations have called, in a joint statement, on countries around the world to stop arms sales to the UAE over human rights reasons.

The International Campaign for Justice and the Stop the War Coalition also called on the United Nations’ Secretary-General to develop a mechanism to respond to the UAE’s suspicious role in the region conflicts.

On Saturday, the two organisations organised a set in in front of the UAE embassy in London protesting against the UAE crimes in Yemen, Qatar, Libya, Eritrea, Somalia, Egypt, Lebanon and Palestine.

According to the statement, the UAE is an essential member state in the Arab alliance in Yemen, which has been led by Saudi Arabia since 2015.
