British delegation to UAE disregards human rights violations

A British delegation has visited on Thursday the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and met with a number of Emirati government officials as part of the two countries' efforts to confront ISIS.

The British delegation included Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and Member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip Boris Johnson.

However, the visit failed to deal with the alarming human rights situation in the UAE or to mention allegations of torture of British nationals like David Haigh in UAE jails.
