Amina Al-Abdouli confirms torture and abuse in UAE jail

The female prisoner of conscience Amina Al-Abdouli confirmed in a new recoding her exposure to torture and humiliating treatment at Al-Wathba prison in Abu Dhabi.

In a second recording received by the ICJHR, Amina (36) said her health situation has dramatically deteriorated after being subjected to various forms of torture and verbal abuse.

She said that she was denied medical treatment despite her difficult health condition.

Rights groups have repeatedly urged the UAE authorities to release all political prisoners in the UAE, to investigate all violations they have been exposed to and to stop the torture policy of UAE detention centers for all prisoners.
