Emirati activist Osama al-Najjar scheduled to be soon released
The Emirati online activist Osama al-Najjar is scheduled to be released next March after searving his three-year sentence in the UAE jails.
The 27-year-old al-Najjar was jailed on 17 March 2014 and sentenced for 3 years for for tweeting in defense of human rights in UAE and his father Hossain Al-Najjar who is unfairly jailed as part of UAE 94 trial.
The UAE authorities have earlier refused to release al-Najjar after he served three quarters of his sentence.
Human rights organizations have reportedly documented human rights violations against prisoners of opinion in UAE jails including al-Najjar and hid his father.
